Thongs

I'm writing this after having had an escalated discussion about wearing thongs.

Yeah, it's another Mormon thing. My elders (mom and aunts) believe that wearing thongs are tainting our bodies which are God's gift to us.

Yes, I appreciate my body and recognize it as a gift from God. However:

I, as a young Mormon woman, advocate the wearing of thongs and the elimination of panty lines across the globe. Amen.

I believe wearing cute underwear inspires an extra boost of self confidence in a woman and there is absolutely nothing wrong with wearing cute thongs...with lace even!

And I'd also like to add that I discussed this subject with my YW leaders and they approved the use of thongs as long as they don't show (which I have been guilty of.)

Of course, I'm not sure why girls wear g strings because I can tell you from experience they aren't comfy. Also, those thongs with holes for the vagina...there's no point of those except to get a quickie. Those definitely shouldn't be in an innocent Mormon girls wardrobe...unless she's entertaining her husband? Hahaha.

Jokes aside, I feel strongly about this subject.

Miss Congeniality where Cheryl talks about her experience
with red panties that her mother called "Satan's panties"
This is what people sound like to me:
Women shouldn't wear thongs = Red panties are of the devil
What's the point of a matching bra and panty set? = What's the point of doing your hair?

I am offended.

And maybe it's because I work at Gilly Hicks, wear lacy thongs, or too into fashion but I will not stop wearing thongs.

Even after I'm married in my La'ie temple and have to wear garments. At that point I'll still keep them. For what purpose is none of your business ;)
